How much does a social media agency cost in 2026?
In 2026 a social media agency typically costs between roughly €400 and €1,600 a month, depending on the depth of service. Three factors drive the range: how much content is produced, who produces it (junior vs. strategist), and whether full management is included or just posting.
What's included in the price?
A serious package usually covers strategy, a content plan, creative production (graphics, Reels), publishing, community management and a monthly report. The cheapest offers often provide only scheduled posting with no strategy — which rarely produces measurable results.
Why is the range so wide?
Because "social media" can mean many things. A freelancer might produce posts for a few hundred euros a month; a full team responsible for growth — with strategy, data and video — typically works above the €1,000 mark. The question isn't the price, it's the return.
Project-based or monthly retainer?
Brand building is continuous by nature, so most agencies work on a monthly retainer, usually with a 3–6 month minimum — because real results take time. One-off projects (identity, a single campaign) are also available at a fixed price.
How do you decide what's worth it?
Don't look for the cheapest — look for clear strategy and a measurable goal. Ask for case studies, concrete numbers and transparent reporting. A good partner doesn't promise followers, it promises business outcomes: reach in front of the right audience, and enquiries from it.
